japan visa to attend a conference

I am a student in Shaanxi Province. I am from Pakistan and I have to go to attend a conference in Japan. Can you please guide about the visa application process. Especially should i go to embassy or some counselor office? Does it require special appointment etc.

First, you need to provide a filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, your passport and its photocopy, Chinese residence permit, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation and other documents. Then, submit the application to the appointed agency. You don't need make appointment for that. You can call the Japanese embassy to know the information of the agency. TEL: 010-6532-2007
