About:Beijing Travel Tips

Traveling to Australia from the U.K. via Beijing Capital Airport and have a 9 hour layover.

Is there somewhere safe to shower and rest and can we smoke any where inside or will we need visas to go out to smoking areas?

1. You can find the shower facilities in the hourly lounge at PEK.
2. There is no smoking room inside the terminal building. Passengers need to go outside the airport. And you can easily find the outdoor smoking area according to the English signs.
In addition, you need to apply for the stay permit at the airport. Then you are allowed to go out of the airport.

Thank you and phew I thought I would have to go 36 hours without smoking and washing - stinky and stressed not a good combination xx
