About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

We are planning a cruise/stay from the UK to Asia.

We fly from UK to Bangkok for 3 nights and then fly to Beijing.
The flight arrives in Beijing 07:20hrs day 1 and leaves Beijing 07:20hrs day 4 (exactly 72hrs)
From Beijing we fly to Shanghai for 1 night before boarding a cruise ship.
What visa(s) do we need to cover our stays in China (Beijing and Shanghai)?
