About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

US passport on Celebrity Millenium Cruise stay 2 nts pre-cruise in Shanghai

I have US passport and will be on Celebrity Millenium cruise from Shanghai to Hong Kong in January 2017. Will be arriving from US to Shanghai airport, stay in hotel 2 nts pre-cruise in Shanghai then board the Celebrity Millenium at Shanghai Port. The cruise then stay in Shanghai for another 2 nts at port. Can I use the 72 hr or 144 hr free transit for my pre-cruise stay hotel in Shanghai? Please advise.

Thuvan, so you will take a flight from the US to Shanghai, stay there for four nights and then leave for Hong Kong with the ship? If yes, you can use the 144hr free transit for this trip.
