About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hours visa-free travel in Guandong province already implemented?

I'll be coming from Taiwan, would like to spend 6 days traveling around the province,
flying to HK after (end destination, I am a resident there)

alternative would be Shanghai - but if I go Shanghai I need to stay in the city?

Mary, Guangdong hasn't implemented the 144 hour free transit policy yet. If you are eligible for the policy in Shanghai, you can travel in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
