Japan to Shanghai to Japan

I am currently in Japan with family for the next ten days and are all US Citizens. We just realized that airfare from Japan to Shanghai is pretty cheap and wanted to see about making a quick day and a half trip to Shanghai to simply visit Shanghai Disneyland and nothing else. Would this work with Shanghai 144 hour visa?
