My daughter is travelling to china end of August, travelling within china for 2 weeks and then starting a years study at university there as part of her uk university Chinese studies, she is concerned about the residency permit, as she will be in China from the 1 September but only enrolling at university on the 14th September will she have enough time to obtain this before the 30 days due date at end of September?

Tracey, usually, it takes 15 working days to issue the residence permit after your daughter submit the application. She has enough time to submit the application.
