About:China Work Visa

Which Visa should I apply for as an overseas student looking for a 6 month long internship?

i am studying in an overseas university, which program requires me to take a 6 month internship. I have had an interview with a company from Shanghai, and they asked me to find out which Visa I need. My school adviced Visa Z, but it requires a 2 year work experience, which I don't have...Are there any alternatives? (The internship is paid/stipend)

Yes, you need to enter China with X1 visa and get the residence permit within 30 days, then your wife and children can apply for S1 visa with your residence permit. It's more convenient to apply for Q1 visa through your wife's Chinese family, so you can come together.
