I'm Flying from the US to Thailand and have a 6 hour layover in Shanghai.

1) does this qualify for the 144 hour stay to go to the city?
2) do i need to fill anything out in the airport? Or beforehand?

1. Yes, it qualifies for the 144-hour stay to go to the city because you just have 6 hours’ layover.
2. As I know, if you need to go out of the airport, you need to apply for a stay permit when you arrive at the airport.
