is there any english spoken in kunming?

Does anyone know if there is a tourist information office in Kunming with English speaking staff? And is the much fanfared circular tourist bus that loops around the city to all the tourist sights still going? And what is the best website for info on Kunming attractions... and please dont say gokunming... most of their links seem to be Chinese!

Well, I am afraid that there is no special tourist service office having English-speaking staff. As I know, most of these buses are still in operation. You can find the information about attractions in Kunming on this website. It has already listed most of famous attractions.
