144 transit Sydney to UK via Shanghai

Hello,
British citizen
I am travelling Uk (Birmingham) to Sydney then on my return I intend to travel,

Sydney --> Shanghai--> Birmingham
Will this be eligible.

Joe, this route is eligible for the 144 hour visa-free transit program. You just need to make sure that you will stop in Shanghai for not exceeding 144 hours.
