About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving by ship to Shanghai transferring to shanghai airport same day to return to USA.

Do I qualify for 24/72 transit visa? If yes, How to obtain/apply

Hi, if you travel like a third country-Shanghai-USA, you qualify for the free transit in Shanghai. After arriving at Shanghai airport, you can go to the transit counter to apply for the free transit.
