Notification for foreigner's work permit to apply for Z type

Hello,

In order to apply for the Z type in France I need to provide the notification for foreigner's work permit. The visa agency who is taking care of the paperwork in France is asking for the original and a copy of the notification. The visa center does not specify whether they need an original or copy and it's impossible to have someone on the phone. Since the new system to apply for foreigner's work permit was launched in China on 1st April 2017, I have read that the notifications are issued online and that you can print it and use it as an original to apply for the Z type. Have you heard anything about that? Is it possible to use the printed notification? Are originals copies no longer issued?

Erika, I’m afraid you’d better provide the original notification if the agency said so; and usually, the consular officers may also requires the original document. It is normal.

From what I can understand, as I have the same problem, the place you will work for needs to see the notarized documents first, if not the originals as well, along with a police check, before they issue the work permit, which you then use to apply for the Z visa.
