Customs check and immigration at Shenzhen Shekou Ferry Terminal

I would like to know, whether there are customs check and immigration counters when leaving China via Shekou Ferry Terminal to Hong Kong Airport.

Can I buy tickets before, or only on the day I want to travel?

Also, how much time for buying a ticket, immigration, etc. ? If I wanted to take the ferry at noon, when should I arrive at the ferry terminal?

Yes, there is an upstream check-in counter at the Shekou Port when you head for HKIA.
You can buy the ferry tickets in advance with a valid flight ticket with confirmed flight booking for same day travel.
As I know, all the procedures may take no more than 1 hour. If you will take the ferry at noon, you may arrive at the check-in counter at least 60 minutes before your ferry's scheduled departure time for check-in process.
