About:China Transit Visa

12 hours layover in beijing airport

Hi,
Im a philippine passport holder and traveling fron hongkong to beijing (12hrs layover) before leaving to vienna. Want to visit great wall to maximize my time. Do i need a transit visa? Can i get it in Airport?

You don’t need a transit G type because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office inside Beijing airport and then you can go to the city for a visit.
