required documents to apply hongkong visa

Hi, I'm an undergraduate on srilanka who wish to participate in a hongkong research conference for 5days. What will be the documents I need to apply for visa? Is it mandatory to have financial proof?

Hi, you should prepare the relevant documents: travel itinerary, passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, financial support proof, flight tickets and hotel booking record.
