About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel plan Amsterdam to Singapore to Malaysia then to Shanghai and return to Amsterdam

I have a Dutch passport and will stay in all places as mentioned above max 3 to 4 days. Main question: I'll enter Shanghai from KL/Malaysia and then return to the Netherlands. Does it work for the 144 hour VISA? Or will it not work since I enter Shanghai via Malaysia?
Thanks Alex
