I have a China work Z type and residence permit for the past 10 years, my work contract has finished, my visa will expire in August. I want to continue to live in Shenzhen with my Chinese wife of 10 years. Which is the best visa to obtain and can I do this from China?

Stephen, you can apply for a Q1 type for that. You can try to change the work Z type to Q1 type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it works, you don’t need to leave China for that.
