About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Can a 60 day visa be interpreted loosely to mean 2 months?

Reason is when I booked my flight to be in Shanghai from end of June through end of August, the duration of the entire stay is actually 62 days. Do I need to apply for extension of 2 days around mid-August? Or should I risk not applying for an extension since it's just 2 days?

If so, I’m afraid you need to apply for an extension 7 days prior to the expiry date of your visa. You’d better not overstay.
