South Africans Applying For Chinese Visa From South Korea

Hello,

my wife and I are currently living and working in South Korea. We both hold South African passports.
Our current contracts will finish at the end of December 2017, and after that we want to visit China for a long vacation. We would like to apply for multi-entry visas with either 6 month or 12 month validity.
Is it possible for us to apply for these visas, even though our Korean Alien Registration Cards will expire in January?

I see that there is a notification that says:"Non-Korean applicants in South Korea are required to provide the alien registration card in South Korea (ARC) with at least 6 months remaining validity."
Does that mean that we must have 6 months validity on our ARC at the time of applying, or at the time of wanting to enter China?

Thank you.

I'm afraid it is difficult for you to get multiple entries for 6 months or one year when you apply in a third country. Anyway, you can have a try. Good luck.
That means you should have 6 months validity ARC when applying.

Is it possible to get a shorter term visa? Maybe 3 months?
If not, is it possible to extend our visa once we are in China?
