About:China Tourist Visa

I am planning on visiting China entering from mongolia then going to Hong Kong

and then from Hongkong going back to the UK for a few days and then entering Hong Kong again and then from Hong kong going to shanghai before leaving to head to Japan. The time from entering China to leaving Shanghai will be under 30 days, do you know how I should approach this visa wise? Will I need double entry or will I need another type of visa?

Kirstin, based on what you said, you can apply for a double-entry tourist L type for China.
