NZ citizen visiting China 5 days (Aircrew)

Hi I am a NZ citizen and passport holder. I am also aircrew for a major international airline and cannot submit my passport due to work obligations.

For my 5 day visit I will need the Tourist L type, how do I receive a visa if I cannot submit my passport? Many embassies do on the day issue of visas for people such as aircrew.Does the Chinese embassy do this? Also what is the cost?

Hester, you cannot apply for the tourist L type without the original passport.
You can choose one-day rush service by paying $60 extra charge.
