Australian citizen visiting China for a conference

Hi, I will be visiting PRC for a conference for about 5 days. I am an Australian citizen, living in India and will travel from India to PRC. Do I need a visa? Thanks.

Yes, you need one. Specifically speaking, if the conference is for business purpose, you need to apply for M type. If it's for academic or government affairs, you need to apply for an F type.
