About:Beijing Capital Airport T2

I am travelling from Hong Kong to Manchester UK with a transfer in Beijing Capital Aiport.

My airline said they will transfer my baggage for me. Will I have to go through immigration etc if I dont have to pick up luggage or is there a connecting option? Also, is 2 hours enough time for this connection?

Yes, you still need to do the immigration procedures at the airport. The specific steps are as following.
Flight Arrival & Transfer Procedures - Inspection & Quarantine - Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection - Security Check - Customs inspection - Waiting & Boarding
In addition, 2 hours is enough for you to go through these procedures.
