If I am travelling with a tour group from London to China

and I need both a transit visa on our way to China plus 3 days single entry tourist visa for Hong Kong on our return trip and they will be responsible for all expenses paid, do I still need a sponsor in Hong Kong to be able to apply for my tourist visa in Ghana?
