About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Fly from Japan to Malaysia and transit at Shanghai. can i use this 72hrs visa free transit?

If you hold Malaysia passport, you cannot use it, but if your layover time is within 24 hours, you can use the 24-hour free transit in Shanghai. Otherwise, you need to apply for a transit G type for that.
