About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

My daughter is planning a visit to China as a tourist. She is staying with friends (3 weeks).

She has an invitation letter, signed with the appropriate details of the friend's father, Does he need to also send identification papers? This was not clear on the instructions.

Also she resides in Nelson, should we send to Christchurch consul. Thank you very much for your assistance

He may need to provide copy of his Chinese ID card if he was Chinese or provide copy of passport if he is a foreigner.
She should apply from the Christchurch consulate.
