About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

layover in Hong kong and shanghai to USA

Hello, i would like to know if i am able to go to Hong Kong for an overnight layover, thenstop again in Shanghai the next day before flying back to the US. i have US passport. thanks

Yes, that will work. Hong Kong has its own policy so it's not covered here.
