Layover in Shanghai and Guangzhou

Hello,
I'm a Canadian. Currently in Russia hoping to fly out of Vladivostok to Shanghai. From there I would like to get to Guangzhou (plane or train) then I have my departure flight out of Guangzhou. Is this possible without a visa?

Thanks!

Hi, this is possible if your layover time in mainland China in total is less than 24 hours.
