About:Beijing Train

hello, i want to ask if i take bullet train D train (overnight) from Shanghai to Beijing.

And i stay in Days inn Forbidden City, how long the distance to reach the hotel? what side out? if i take a taxi, how much the price is?

Will you arrive at South Railway Station? If yes, Take metro line 4 to Xidan Station and transfer to line 1 to Tian'anmen East Station, Exit C. Then walk northeast around 900 yards to find the hotel. It takes around 20 mins on the way. If by taxi, the cab fare is around CNY 30 in the day time.

Many thanks for your answer Avery, im not clear whether im arrived in South Railway Station or not? cos this is the first time for me to go there. are you sure, if we take taxi only need to spend around CNY 30? if yes, better i take taxi then, cos im rather confuse if i must change different lines. thank you.

Yes, the bullet train from Shanghai will arrive the South Railway Station. Don't worry. In addition, the taxi fare would be higher during the peak hours.

The peak hours usually refers to the commuter time, which ranges 07:00 to 09:00am and 17:00 to 19:00pm. It usually takes CNY 120-130 from your hotel to the airport by taxi during peak hours.
