okinawa to shanghai to bangkok

Question

Shanghai on 21 April-25 April 2017 departing from Okinawa JP. I want to use the 144 hr free transit to visit Disneyland in Shanghai. I wanted to know was this possible if I have a 4hr layover at Kumming airport to my final destination in Bangkok. I heard that I couldn't use this free visa if I have any layovers in China. Even though it would not exceed the 144 hr and i would already have my ticket so no customs.  thanks

Volya, sorry, you cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai if you will also transit in Kunming for 4 hours. You need to apply for a visa for that.
