About:Embassy & Consulates of Canada in China

hello my name is pauline from kenya currently studying in china in chongqing city ,

i would love to visit canada this coming summer holiday i will be visiting my boyfriend , and i have a student x type, was asking what is required of me to apply for visa and also any documents that would be needed, since am visiting my boyfriend am i required to submit my financial documents or i can use my boyfriend's document . thank you .

Pauline, you can apply for a tourist visa for Canada to visit your boyfriend. You need to provide your passport and its copy, the application form, a recently-taken passport-style photo, your residence permit in China, financial support proof, and your travel plan as well as an invitation letter from your boyfriend. Maybe you can use your boyfriend’s financial document.

thank you for reply , so do i need to travel to beijin for visa processing or i can just do it in chongqing , and how do i get the application form , do i need a letter from my school ?

You can apply for it in Chongqing.
You can get the application form from the official website of the consulate of Canada in Chongqing.
A letter from your school may not be needed.
