About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Kuala Lumpur - Shanghai PVG - Kuala Lumpur

My brother is living with his wife in Shanghai and i wanted to visit him, does the 144h apply? i have German passport.

No, this route is not eligible. You need to go to a third country or region first before back to Kuala Lumpur.

You can take a flight from Shanghai to Macau or HK and then to KL.
