Visit 3 days beiing and 3 days Shanghai then leave to Japan

Can we use the 72 hours or 144 hours free visa duty? We will fly from the Netherlands to Beiing stay here 3 days than take the train to Shanghai and have 3 days stay here than we fly from Shanghai to Japan.
