Passport Validity when transiting China

Hi there,
Is there any passport validity restriction when travelling via China to Japan? For instance does my passport need to be valid for at least 6 months before expiry date?
Thanks
Christina

Christina, there is no validity restriction. You can transit in China as long as your passport is valid.
