About:Shanhaiguan

Is it better to stay in Qinhuangdao or Shanhaiguan?

I've read that Shanhaiguan is very quiet at night. Is that true?
Based on baidu maps it looks like Shanhaiguan and Qinhuangdao are 68min apart by bus. Is there a faster way to get between the cities?

Shanhai Pass is often closed after 18:00 or so, so there should not be many visitors by that time and it is probably quiet.
You can just take a taxi to go from the pass to Qinhuangdao; it takes around 35min and costs CNY50 or so.
