Layover is 10 hours. Is there cheap hotels nearby baiyun airport? Need transportation advice

Flight details: SFO to CAD to BKK. My layover flight in Guangdong is 10 hours. I am wondering if there are cheap hotels near the airport I should stay? Would you recommend I wait at the terminal? I would rather get a hotel and refresh/sleep before moving on to my next flight. Please advise.
