I want to go on the subway from Beihai North to Silk street shopping market - Is that possible?

Sure. At Beihai North station, take subway line 6 to Chaoyangmen, where you can transfer to line 2. Do get off at Jianguomen and take exit B. Walk eastwards for a while and you can see the Silk Street in the north.1
