It's an international to international transfer at PEK, right? You don't need to a visa. You can enjoy the 24 hours visa free policy because your stopover is just 6 hours. The both flights are located at T3. You don't need to check again to immigration. The correct transfer procedures are the following:
Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Stamped on the Boarding Pass - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Waiting & Boarding

Not departure area, it's transfer area for transfer procedures first, and then departure area.
