About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Stop at Chengdu (CTU) airport for 8h

We will stop in Chengdu for 8h, before the connection to Tokyo. Where and when can we get the 24h visa to visit the city? What if we stay at the airport? Thanks!

You can get a temporary stay permit upon arrival at Chengdu Airport. You can also stay at the airport if you don't want to go outside.
