About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does the visa apply if you have a connecting ticket with a connection in China?

I want to fly from Guangzhou to Tel Aviv, but the flight has a stopover in Beijing.

I have to fly from Singapore to Guangzhou so would do the 72 hour free transit in Guangzhou, but, does it not work if my first flight is to another city in China?

No, the 72h free transit policy does not work if you transit in both Guangzhou and Beijing. If the total layover time is within 24 hours, the 24h direct transit policy is applicable.
