About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hello,
Do I need to open visa if I have a connecting flight in China (44 hours between connections)? I am a Canadian resident.
My daughter has the same connection to make, but she is a Canadian citizen. Would she need to open visa?

Thank you,

Elena

Which city will you transit? Shanghai or other city, visa is not required for Canada citizens who transit through Pudong Airport or Hongqiao Airport of Shanghai, provided they hold valid passports, visas for the onward countries, final destination tickets and have booked seats, and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours

A transit visa is required if you transit other cities in China for 44 hours.
