About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

U.S Passport holder in Japan

Hi,

I am an American with a U.S. passport and I am stationed in Japan. I am trying to visit Shanghai for 3 days how do I go about obtaining a visa to enter the country?

Doniece, if you travel like Japan-HK-Shanghai-Japan, or Japan-Shanghai-HK-Japan, you will be able to enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai. In this case, no visa will be needed.
