About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Arriving via cruise

I will be arriving via cruise ship and flying out the same day from shanghai.
Am I granted a transit visa doing it this way?
Do I need to apply for the 24 hour transit visa prior to arrival?

Thank you

Matthew

Matthew, if you will fly to a third country or region rather than the last one you come from after staying in Shanghai for less than 24 hours, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.
