About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Hello, unfortunatelly, I couldn't find a definite answer - is visa required in my case or not.

So, maybe you will help me=)

I plan to buy such tickets:
Moscow-Urumqi(transfer 3 hours)-Guangzhou(transfer 3 hours)-Denpasar
arrival to Urumqi and departure from Guangzhou are in the same day (less than 24 hours)
Denpasar-Guangzhou(transfer 3 hours)-Lanzhou(transfer 3 hours)-Moscow
arrival to Guangzhou and departure from Lanzhou are in the same day (less than 24 hours)

In this case is chinese visa is requared? I am citizen of Belarus.

Stepan, for your first itinerary, you need to get a visa in advance, because you are only allowed to transit in Urumqi in two hours, but you have a three-hour layover there. For your second itinerary, you qualify for the 24-hour direct transit policy.

The problem is that we are citizens of Belarus, but live in Saint-Petersburg(Russia), so if chinese visa is required it is an additional problems because we have to Minsk to apply for a visas in local chinese embassy, and stay there for a week until visas are ready. So the best way is to get to Denpasar without any additional troubles like visa=)))

Anyway, I can not find any official documents which regulate transit. But I would like to be sure. So, is it feature of only Urumqi airport that without visa the layout can not be longer than 2 hours??? Where to read about it, some official resources& Because I found at least 3 stories, when people had 2+ hours layouts and there were no problems.

And I also found another way to Denpasar(-->) and back()Saint-Peterburg-Lanzhou(layout 2 hours)-Guangzhou(layout 3 hours 5 minutes)-Denpasar
+again from arrival to Lanzhou to departure from Guangzhou is less than 24 hours
(<--)Denpasar-Guangzhou(layout 2 hours 25 minutes)-Lanzhou(layout 2 hours 20 minutes)-Saint-Peterburg
+again from arrival to Guangzhou to departure from Lanzhou is less than 24 hours

In this case is visa required?
