About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If i want to have a transit of 4 days while I am travaling from New York, USA

to Dhaka, Bangladesh, can I do that? so my destination will look like New York- Shanghai-Dhaka-New York. Can i do that type of traveling with a US passport?

If you travel like that, you will qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
