About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am an Australian arriving in Shanghai by ship.

I will spend 2 nights in Shanghai before returning home to Australia by air. Do I need a visa

Val, if the last country you come from before entering Shanghai is not Australia, you will be able to make use of the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. No visa will be needed then.
