About:China Visa Exemption

3 days shanghai visit

Hey I'm a french passport holder living in bali indonesia. i'd like to visit shanghai for three days and comeback to bali. Do i need to apply for a visa or am i qualified for the 144 hours exemption?

You are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit if you travel like that because it’s not a transit at all. You need to apply for a visa for that. Or you can travel like Bali-HK-Shanghai (144 hours)-Bali or Bali- Shanghai (144 hours)- HK-Bali, and then you can use the 144 hour free transit.
