Hi- can a retired airline employee flying standby for both inbound and outbound flights to Shanghai qualify for the 72 hour free transit exemption ?

We are listed on the flights but it is not a confirmed seat until about 1 hour prior to the respective flight ?

Ross, as far as I know, only when you have a confirmed ticket, you can apply for the 72 hour free transit.
