Questions on D visa

I've been married to a China person for just over 10 years and have lived and worked in China for just over 6 years (with full employment). Three years ago I moved to another city than my spouse so my son could attend a better school so we don't live together but we are not divorced. This is purely something we are doing for our son. My wife works for the government so it would be silly for her to give up her job and move to me. I rent an apartment and we have bought an apartment where she lives (although it's in her name of course).

Do you think this would be a problem if applying for a green card? Thanks!

Martin, I think it is still possible for you to apply for a D type. Just give it a try!
